Hurricane Joaquin UPDATE: Suspension of Flight Operations

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands, Friday, October 2nd, 2015 – Further to the announcement of the suspension of flight operations at airports in the Turks and Caicos Islands due to Hurricane Joaquin, The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (TCIAA) has amended its suspension of operation times.

As the Turks and Caicos Islands remain under tropical storm watch, flight operations at Providenciales will remain suspended until 4 p.m. on Friday 2nd October 2015 when winds are expected to subside.

The Airports Authority is continuously monitoring the storm’s progress and will issue updated reports to ensure minimal disruption of service.

Suspension of flight operations are also in effect for Grand Turk, North Caicos, South Caicos and Salt Cay airports.

Passengers are asked to contact their respective airline for flight scheduling.
