Providenciales, 11 Sept 2015 – The House of Assembly will convene on Monday in the Capital Grand Turk, and on the agenda for the coming session are the controversial Immigration and Turks and Caicos Islander Status Bills 2015.
Government has already been cautioned and beckoned to from several quarters about ‘rushing’ the proposed legislation; the last Immigration bill the PNP Administration tried to get through the House of Assembly was withdrawn after Members, in large part, rejected the proposal.
A Sports Development Bill and Domestic Insurance Bill are also set to be tabled in Parliament on Monday and the PDM is hoping its, Freedom of Information Private Members’ Motion will make it to debate.
