Her Excellency the Governor is pleased to announce the arrival in the w/c 22 April 2024 of Mr Edvin Martin who will assume his position as Commissioner of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF). Mr Martin brings strong leadership and regional operational experience having led the Royal Grenada Police Force and held the position of President of the Association of Caribbean Police Chiefs.
Mr Martin is eager to arrive with his family to serve the Turks and Caicos Islands and deliver on his safety and security responsibilities to all residents and visitors across our islands. Over the past few months, as part of his induction, he has been engaged with Her Excellency, interim Acting Commissioner Eyre, members of the Force Executive and regional colleagues.
Her Excellency is grateful to Mr Eyre for his leadership in the interim. Deputy Commissioner Mr Rodney Adams will lead the RTCIPF until Mr Martin arrives in country this month.
