Haiti Gang Firearms more than Police – UN says where they come from.

#Haiti#GunsTrafficking, April 8, 2024 -It is reported that gangs in Haiti have more firearms than the police, and according to UN officials this is due to heavy illegal weapons trafficking. Highlighting that Haiti does not manufacture firearms or ammunition, the United Nations Office on drugs and Crime Representative for Central America and the Caribbean, Sylvie Bertrand, explains where the guns come from. She informs that they are trafficked from the US To various parts of Haiti.

Speaking to a UN News representative, Bertrand further explained that there are networks of criminals in the US that provide trafficked firearms to third party buyers, who are connected to channels going to Haiti.
