US donates aircraft to Dominican Republic to fight narcotics movement

#DominicanRepublic, February 21st, 2024 – In efforts to boost the Dominican Republic’s fight against the illicit trafficking of narcotics by transnational criminal organizations, the US government, through the Department of Defense, donated an aircraft to the Ministry of Defense, according to the US Embassy in the Dominican Republic in a release on February 20th. The aircraft valuing more than US$8 million is donated to also support the country in providing humanitarian assistance in case of disasters.
