#TurksandCaicos, January 19th, 2024 – A judge-only trial in the Grand Turk Supreme Court has landed Cedric Simms in prison for arson after he was convicted of setting fire to a dwelling with his estranged wife and her sister inside. The three-week trial convinced the judge that Simms was guilty even without the presentation of hard evidence by the prosecution. Sophia Sandy-Smith represented the office of the DPP and Lara Maroof Misick for the defendant, Simms is awaiting sentencing.
