#Belize#Nutrition#Students, January 2nd, 2024 – The Belizean component of the FAO program made moves to strengthen the capacity of people involved in food feeding programs with a series of training sessions in December, aimed at promoting healthy eating among students. These included cooking sessions which included virtual sessions, in-person cook training sessions on December 9th and 16th. Present were school principals, cooks, PTA members, school staff and Ministry of Education personnel. The program by the FAO should lead to healthier school environments, awareness of the linkage between proper nutrition and students’ health and what are those best practices for food safety in kitchens.
