#TurksandCaicosIslands, December 11, 2023 – Canadian pop star and longtime lover of the Turks and Caicos, Drake, is boosting local businesses with his presence alone.

Noah’s Ark, a beach bar in Providenciales, has had such a massive increase in patronage that Philip Missick, Manager, has not had time to count the monetary gains at least that’s what he told TMZ in a December 10 interview

Drake clearly has a soft spot for Noah’s Ark, as the bar has been featured not only in a worldwide campaign for Nike but in his music videos as well. The chill spot, now known for hosting the megastar, has become a must-stop on the list for lots of visitors

In addition to wanting to see Drake, Missick told TMZ that fans were now turning up with the hope of seeing a local bartender who has become good friends with the rapper.

Known via her Instagram as Flacka (Flaacka.a), the assistant manager and bartender was also featured in the Nike campaign earlier this year.

The boost to the local business, whether purposeful or not, is only one of the ways Drake has shown his love for the Turks and Caicos in the last couple of years, including gifting cash to talented musicians, shooting videos on the island, and launching a Turks and Caicos-inspired clothing line.

The multi-Grammy winner is set to go on tour with rapper J. Cole in the coming months.
