#TurksandCaicosIslands, October 10, 2023Turks and Caicos tourism stakeholders will, by year’s end, gain fortified assistance in analyzing the environmental, social and cultural impact of tourism, generated by the industry throughout the country.

To see this development come into full fruition, the TCI Government has contracted Target Euro Srl to design and implement a Tourism Carrying Capacity Model, that will drive the help the stakeholders need.

The information that will be provided by the capacity model which started in July 2022, and scheduled for completion by December this year, will be of great value to public and private stakeholders, in allowing them to effectively plan national Tourism development in a sustainable manner “considering the industry’s characteristics and peculiarities and its primary objective of increasing the quality of life of all residents,” as maintained by the TCI Government in a September 28th statement on Facebook.

In creating the model, the working group will need help to pinpoint TCI’s development goals and priorities and associated issues to include them in the Carrying Capacity model. For this, “the government has established an Advisory Committee.”

Additionally, the statement highlighted that also involving the general TCI population in eyeing these development priorities is of paramount importance as their input will make for an accurate model that covers every if not most corners of the country’s needs.

The government is asking all residents to participate by taking  a questionnaire found at https://www.surveyhero.com/c/gbe7vn94.

The survey will run for two weeks and additional queries can be submitted to capacity@gov.tc
