#TurksandCaicosIslands, October 16, 2023 – Magnetic Media can report that another young man of Kew Town has been charged under the TCI Anti-Gang Ordinance.
CYDERO SMITH will be arraigned in the Magistrate’s court on charges of ‘Being a gang member and Discharging Firearm’.
The Magistrate’s court has no power or jurisdiction to hear firearm related matters and therefore, the matter when it’s called on Tuesday 17th October, 2023 will be transferred to the Supreme Court for a Sufficiency Hearing in possibly December, 2023.
We will keep you up-to-date as this is the second ‘gang accused’ charges proceeding through the court. If convicted Smith is liable to receive sentences of up to 25 years imprisonment.
