#TurksandCaicosIslands, October 10, 2023In a social media post, widely circulated in the Turks and Caicos following the shocking and tragic death of Sevano Wilson, 21 in Grand Turk a week ago, his family is beckoning to the public for help in investigation.

This young man (our son, our brother, our cousin, our nephew and our friend) life was taken away from him on Youth day in Grand Turk! Please contact the police if you have any information at all that you think is relevant to the case!

Cell phone video of the melee on Governor’s Beach is hard to watch, but it clear there were scores of witnesses and lots of confusion through which the Royal Turks and Caicos Police investigators must sift.

Police was not on the scene of the event; that fact continues to go unexplained but a statement on Wednesday informing that a suspect had been arrested, was heartening for Grand Turk and by extension the entire Turks and Caicos.

The Family said, “We’ve been told police had three young men in custody but all have now been released.

Police said they had released a second man who was being questioned and for now, 21 year old, Lukinson Leger of West Road was charged with the stabbing death of Sevano on September 29, 2023.

The Family, in sharing the post, asked “Please forward and share widely.
