#TurksandCaicosIslands – April 18, 2020 — AS REPORTED AT 2:11 PM — A story is unravelling involving a TCI treatment abroad patient airlifted to :the University Hospital of the West Indies, UHWI in Jamaica.

Magnetic Media is awaiting an official statement from TCIG and our sources in Jamaica confirm the matter has sparked public outrage.

Questions being levelled at Officials by Jamaican media include: Is the patient who tested positive for COVID19 a Jamaica national; was there a pre-test for COVID-19 ahead of the medivac and how many medical staffers were exposed to the patient who was initially held in a non-COVID ICU section of the facility?

The Head of Surgery at UHWI in Jamaica has been quarantined as a result.
The patient was airlifted two days ago for presumed Intraabdominal Sepsis, Magnetic Media is told.
