#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – September 3, 2019 — Hurricane Dorian, the unprecedented hurricane which caused catastrophic damage in the Bahama islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama is now a Category 2 hurricane and hurricane watches and warnings for all areas in the northwest Bahamas are discontinued.
Yet another unexpected turn of events for the
historic hurricane which, at its strongest, was gusting up to 200 mph according
to some officials.
The change in the intensity of the Hurricane Dorian is a welcomed one and local freight forwarders and shipping companies have today informed Magnetic Media that flights and sailings are resumed.
Cairsea said IBC Airways will resume Miami flights
tomorrow, September 4, 2019.
Tropical Shipping also issued a statement to
Magnetic Media which said, “Sailings to Providenciales and Grand Turk are not interrupted
this week.”
Dorian has seen wind strength decrease significantly to 110 mph and the weaker hurricane continues a sluggish north westerly track at 5 mph; experts say a north-northwest shift is to come tonight and so is more forward speed.
Today, the sixth named storm formed 125 miles ESE of La Pesca, Mexico; Tropical Storm Fernand has already caused there to be tropical storm warnings to be activated for parts of Mexico.
