Hotel & Tourism Association job portal is never ending job fair, and yes TCI job boom is real

#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – November 7, 2018 – Thousands of jobs will be created in the booming Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism sector; it is not a phony pronouncement says Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association CEO, Stacy Cox.

“It’s real, it’s tangible, it’s something you can put your hands on. We know that the season is going to be a solid one for everyone and other destinations are still rebounding. You know we have our friends in Puerto Rico, we have our friends in Anguilla who are just reopening. We’re in a unique position where the marketing has been amazing through the members, individual members of the Association, the Tourist Board, have been doing a phenomenal job out there and collectively the islands should be poised for a very, very busy season,” shared Mrs. Cox.

In a one on one with Magnetic Media, the veteran hotel executive and now TCHTA CEO explained that this fact is an impetus for recent advancements at the Hotel and Tourism association of the Turks and Caicos Islands and includes a training center and revival of their online job portal. 

“The development center has been going good. I am grateful for the membership and those who have eagerly come on board. We thought we’d use this opportunity to lay the groundwork, develop our people and have them prepared, so that when the opportunity comes they are fully prepared to leap into those positions. With having the career portal, actually the re-launching of the career portal, you load up, whether it’s looking for job opportunities or that you load up the resumes.”

The Caribbean’s Leading Beach destination is the Turks and Caicos and the human resources departments of the leading resorts here and coming will now be able to connect with applicants near and far through the innovative tool; described as a never ending job fair which you can attend in your PJs or finest business attire.

“We’re so excited about it and we’re looking forward to more resumes uploaded, more opportunities for our members and persons outside of our members to be a part of 2018 and the internet and everything that it has to offer.   So you can sit in the comfort of your home, you know no makeup, in your nighties, and browse the website and see what’s available or what is suited to your experiences or your skills.” 

It is peak hiring season in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Stacy Cox explained it is also peak training season.

“This is the time when many resorts are poking for individuals because you have the month of October then you go into about mid-November where there is training opportunities and once the training is done, mid-November until about June or July you’re in the thick of being busy.”
