Turks and Caicos named Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination at World Travel Awards

#Montego, Bay, Jamaica – Wednesday October 3, 2018 – There were 10 #WorldTravelAwards to the Turks and Caicos when the ‘Oscar’s of the travel industry awards gala’ was held in Montego Bay, Jamaica on September 22, 2018. 

Leading Caribbean and North American tourism and travel companies were nominated and Team Turks and Caicos walked away with ten statuettes and four nominations for the World wide gala slated for December in Portugal, #Spain.

The prizes in the Turks and Caicos category went to Hertz for leading car rental, Olympia Destination Management for destination management; Grace Bay Club for Leading Hotel; The Palms and its Ocean Front Penthouse got leading hotel suite in the TCI; Seven Stars Resort was named leading resort and Point Grace won for best Boutique resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

When pit against other Caribbean countries and properties and services, Turks and Caicos claimed:  Leading All Suite Hotel 2018 with The Palms Turks & Caicos; Caribbean’s Leading All-Inclusive Family Resort 2018 with Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa; Caribbean’s Leading Beach Resort 2018 went to the Amanyara Villas and arguably the night’s biggest prize is the Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination 2018 and that was secured, firmly by the Turks & Caicos Islands.

TCI Tourist Board Director and Deputy Director were on hand to collect the #WTA hardware.
