#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Monday October 1, 2018 – A 2016 study revealed that 62 percent of your staff is on social media during the time you are paying them to work and that 32 percent of the workday of those employees is devoted to social media socializing.

The report by TeamLease World of Work explains that more than two and a half hours of every workday of employees hooked on social media is spent on social media and that Facebook is leading the pack with 83 percent of workers spending their time on that network.

Human Resources departments around the world are struggling with what to do but the evidence is clear, employees are increasingly finding pastimes more important than their jobs.

Another critical reveal of the study explains that “apart from loss of productivity, the extensive usage of social media by employees has also resulted in an increase in loss of confidential information, defamation, misinformation and employee solicitation.”
