Turks and Caicos to boast first Hyatt Andaz hotel in Caribbean, opens 2021

#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Thursday September 27, 2018 – The Hyatt brand of hotels is coming to the Turks and Caicos Islands and it is coming through Vista Development which was in late June announced as developing a property along the lower Bight area of Grace Bay. 

Minister of Investment and Trade, Premier Sharlene Robinson on Wednesday made the announcement at Cabinet meeting.   In fact, the story is already being carried on line and explains that the resort will sit on 5.5 acres of land in Grace Bay and will be called the Andaz Turks and Caicos.

Two buildings will make up the landmark investment, which will be the first Andaz branded hotel for the Caribbean region.  Fifty-nine keys, 74-units and according to Myles McGourty, senior vice president, Latin America & Caribbean, “We look forward to working with Vista Development Ltd. to introduce the inspiring concept of this luxury lifestyle Hyatt brand to a world-class destination like Turks & Caicos’ coveted Grace Bay.” 

There will be four restaurants, an elevated venue with panoramic views of the world famous waters, a garden yoga studio and an indoor-outdoor spa at the seven storey, $100 million Andaz Turks and Caicos.  The resort is slated for opening in 2021.
