#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Thursday September 6, 2018 – It was two years ago that Sandals Resorts International chairman, Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart admitted that he was very interested in taking the Beaches resort brand to The Bahamas and it seems the idea is taking shape rapidly.

Bahamas Prime Minister, Dr. Hubert Minnis is due to visit the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Beaches Resort Villages and Spa here to determine if the concept is a good fit for Exuma in The Bahamas.

SRI currently operates several properties in Exuma, including a Sandals resort but that could be altered to become the next location for the family all inclusive which is the World’s leading brand in that category of hotels.

Eyewitness News of The Bahamas reports that Anthony Newbold, Press Secretary of The Bahamas Government confirmed that PM Dr. Minnis will make the trip to the Turks and Caicos to ‘scope out’ the sprawling property on Grace Bay Beach.

In the report online, Newbold is quote saying:  “You know that Sandals currently operates two very successful properties here in The Bahamas.  Any successful operation is always welcomed here. We can use some more tourists always.”

According to Newbold, Exuma is a top prospect for the project.
