#Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, August 8, 2018 – The Opposition Progressive National Party says it wants to hear from residents and has listed at least three focus areas to be raised within a town hall meeting slated for tonight at Shining Stars Primary School in Provo.
“Topical issues, among others, to be discussed are; Immigration and National Security, Service Charge and Fortis Electricity Rate Increase.”
All of the listed issues are matters of heated debated within recent weeks. In late July Cabinet approved the Service Charge bill and earlier in the month, FortisTCI announced that the company had requested, of Government, a rate hike. Concerns linked to Immigration and long standing, as is thoughts on National Security.
The PNP’s invitation explains: “You are our valuable stakeholders and so we invite you to join us at this meeting and help to give direction to the discussions.”
The town hall meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the school’s auditorium, tonight.
