Missing Person Found, Official TCI Police Report

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos – March 6, 2018 – 69-year-old Shirley Walkin, who had been missing for 41 hours, was found alive March 5th, 2018 at 11:38 a.m., in the vicinity of Bone Fish Point, Blue Hills.  Ms Walkin appears to be in good health and was taken to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre for treatment and observation.

 Ms Walkin was reported missing to the 911 Centre at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, and was last seen at 7:00 p.m. at a relative home on the said date.  An All Point Bulletin (APB) was aired by 911 following the report, with regular communication with relatives.  

 Police personnel, that included members of the Criminal Investigation Department, led by Sergeant Delton Robinson, were involved in the initial search, along with relatives and members of the community. 

 The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force would like to thank, members of the public and private sector partners who volunteered and provided assistance in the search efforts.
