Government Minister says help on the way to Salt Cay
Salt Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands, March 5, 2018 – Government is now responding to issues outlined by Salt Cay residents on social media. In a response to Magnetic Media questions on resolving matters in Salt Cay, the Member of Parliament explained that no one had made them aware of the problems. 
“We are now aware of the situation and has been in contact with DDME, in order to take the necessary action. No one had contacted any of the relevant Government Departments and agencies earlier.”
Minister and MP, Edwin Astwood in a email reply to our news organization said, “The Government is responding to this urgently, and will continue to monitor the situation, which is due to changes in weather conditions.” 
It is expected that the battering waves and high surf conditions will persist into Tuesday, according to the Bahamas Department of Meteorology.
