Nassau, Bahamas – December 5, 2017 – Residents on Tuesday read about the heartbreaking words of a teenager on trial for the murder of a teacher.  A woman he did not know, a woman who was riding with her own teenage son in the car and a woman who he and two others allegedly conspired to rob.

The final witnesses for the Crown presented a disturbing report of how the teenager admitted to killing the woman by shooting her, saying that he did not intend to shoot and kill Joyelle McIntosh as she drove along Parkgate Road in Nassau.

The plan was to rob her of her car and one of the trio laid down in the street, as the teenager hid nearby.  The teen boy had, during the investigation stage, demonstrated to the now testifying officer Sgt Jamal Evans how he held the gun, how he fired the shot and how he later learned that the woman was killed.

Only 17-years old at the time of the murder in November 2015, the young man said he just wanted to get it off his chest according to Evans’ testimony.

The police sergeant also testified that they brought in social services and a pastor after trying repeatedly, without success, to reach the boy’s mother.

Armando Sargeant and Johnny Mackey are also accused of the murder; all three say they are not guilty of the killing of the Queen’s College fourth grade teacher on that horrible night.
