NASSAU, New Providence, Bahamas – November 24, 2017 – Bahamas Family Islands are enjoying a more robust tourism season this December and Expedia, a travel booking website says The Bahamas is up 40 per cent on those islands.
The increase for the out islands is good news and Nassau and Paradise Island also saw booms, Bookings via Expedia are up 35 per cent for Nassau, and a very strong 60 per cent increase for Paradise Island.
The figures, shared by Senior Director of Resorts, Market Management for Expedia Rafael del Castillo were not just reflective of The Bahamas bookings popularity, it was said Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is up nearly 10 percent, despite damages in Hurricane Maria, San Juan Puerto Rico is up nearly 10 percent and Montego Bay in Jamaica has 25 per cent more bookings when compared to December 2016 on Expedia.
