Providencieales, TCI – June 10, 2016 – The country is reminded of the case last year, where a four year old baby was killed while playing with a gun owned by his uncle with the update from Police which says 27 year old Daniel ‘Danny’ Been is now remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to serve out a six year sentence.
A crestfallen Danny Been did not challenge the charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and keeping ammunition in court yesterday; he plead guilty to the two charges. Magnetic Media was informed that Been never resisted Police in the case and was arrested shortly after the incident which took place at 7:46am on July 26, 2015 at the family home on South Dock Road.
The child reportedly found the gun, was playing with it and the gun went off – the shot struck the toddler in the face and the young boy, despite being rushed to the Cheshire Hal Medical Center, did not make it.
