The incumbent for the North and Middle Caicos seat in Parliament, Minister Donhue Gardiner, will be challenged for his district by a member of his own party before the General Elections are held.

Mark Fulford, attorney and businessman has announced his interest in candidacy on the Progressive National Party ticket, and he has his eye on North & Middle Caicos.

Former Premier Michael Misick a few weeks ago relinquished his bid for the spot, and late last week his lawyer Mark Fulford revealed in an elaborate video commercial that he wants it.

There had been talk that this move within the PNP was causing friction within the Progressive National Party; the PNP’s constitution allows for this kind of challenge.
