Buddy Heild is the young sensation who turned the NCAA March Madness playoffs into a Caribbean dream story… he hails from Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama in The Bahamas and is a descendant of these Turks and Caicos Islands… and tonight, all eyes will be on shining star Buddy as the NBA Draft goes down in Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Buddy, already hailed as next Stephen Curry, was named Collegiate most outstanding player and won the 2016 Wooden Award which puts him the class of players like Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant.

He is also going in as the top shooter among the draft picks and as Bahamians would say it, ‘you besta believe the 242 will be on lock down tonight’ watching what happens for Buddy Heild.

From Interview with NBA Champion, Rick Fox of The Bahamas in his TV series: “After Dark”:  The selections begin at 7pm and it will air on ESPN.
“I had to just separate myself from the crime and all of the bad things and just focus on Basketball whether it was being on the court, being in my area of Pinedale, and just not try to make any trouble.  You know I had a good Mother, good Grandparents who I lived with and they kept my head grounded, my Brothers and Sisters always taught me what was right from wrong and my Mom she always did everything.  I just stayed locked in; know what my vision was, and did not let nothing and nobody stop me from getting there.”
