There are 150 government jobs available according to Deputy Governor, Anya Williams who said a series of job fairs begintomorrow in Grand Turk and by Thursday they move to Providenciales.

It is the first time for the Job Readiness Fair which in GT will be at the Dillon Hall from 10am to 5pm and in Provo at the Gus Lightbourne Gym, also 10 to 5.

The DG said the events are open to everyone with special emphasis on those wanting to work in the public sector.  On site professional assistance will come from the office of the Deputy Governor and the Human Resource Management Directorate.

Anya Williams, Deputy Governor:  “With the approval of the most recent budget, TCIG has approximately one hundred and fifty (150) new and/or vacant posts to fill across Government. This Job Readiness Fair is being undertaken to increase interest and public awareness of careers within TCIG as well as to provide persons residing in the TCI with every opportunity for gainful employment.”

Those people turning out for the two day events on two islands will learn how to apply for jobs, get interviewing tips, and hear how Government recruits.  Some of the Government ministries will also be represented at the fair – again the first is tomorrow in Grand Turk; the second on Thursday in Provo.
