There are seven days left on any petitions against the construction of the Ritz Carlton Hotel development which is proposed for Leeward and Grace Bay in Providenciales.
The Planning department is in receipt of the plan and earlier this month, published that the public had 28 days to make representations. The Desarrollos Hotelco is still interested in building the property on the award winning strip.
The proposal is to construct a $224 million dollar, 124 room resort. There has been resistance recently to the idea of a 12-storey or higher development; so according to law, Planning is open to hearing from the general public when a development is proposed.
