Energy reform is coming for the Turks and Caicos Islands and the country is invited to be a part of shaping of a draft report by attending a series of town hall meetings.

Among the goals of the eventual policy is to protect consumers, ensure and promote healthy and sustainable development in the sector, to support and progress renewable energy technologies and to introduce ways to measure and shore up service standards.

The Ministry of Infrastructure is leading the charge here, but the Consultants RAP, Regulatory Assistance Project, are on the ground for the first session on Wednesday at 7pm in Grand Turk at Dillon Hall.

You can submit by email too, EnergyReformConsultations@gov.tc. To see the report, go to MagneticMediaTV.com. The draft report can also be viewed at http://www.gov.tc/images/DRAFT_REPORT_TCI_ENERGY_SECTOR_REFORM.pdf
