Police finally say today, just moments ago actually that they are indeed investigating a murder and that the body found on Saturday in Pirates Cove is 26 year old, Dominican Yuneiry Veras.
Officer Kevin Clarke in a media statement said, “We know that someone out there may know what happened to Ms. Veras on the night of her disappearance. She was well known and has been in contact with a few persons due to her working at a popular Bar and Night Club located on Aviation Drive.”
Veras went missing last week Monday around 2am; her body was found around 2pm on Saturday passed. Police need help in this second homicide investigation for the year for the Turks and Caicos Islands and confirm that an autopsy will say for sure how the young woman died as there were no visible signs of what may have caused her death on her body.
Yuniery’s parents are on island for what has to be a terribly sad reunion with their now deceased daughter.
