Three charged with shooting ex Cop, Alboin Williams

Three young men, of Haitian origin and requiring a translator to hear the charges against them appeared late today in Magistrate’s Court #2 for the bold shooting heist at Sunny Foods in Five Cays on Sunday April 10, 2016.

A former senior police officer, Alboin Williams was shot multiple times and was nearly killed in the daytime armed robbery.

Almost immediately police announced they had suspects; the three today named as Reginald Presil, Wilbert Almonor and Fritzner Prevalus were charged with attempted murder and armed robbery and were remanded to prison for the shocking crime.

It is said as many as nine shots were fired and hit Williams, who owns Tag Security Services. Williams was hospitalized but is now released.

Attorneys for the defendants say they will appeal the remand, possibly as early as tomorrow.

The men were not required to enter a plea and the next appearance for this trio is June 3rd in Supreme Court .
