Since the start of the month, law enforcers are legally permitted to enter any premise to ensure businesses are adhering to the newly instituted, Tobacco Control Ordinance 2015.
The new law not continues to support no smoking zones like airports but has expanded to make all public areas non smoking.
Restaurants will have to designate areas, outdoors, for smokers and signs will be required for display according to officials.
