Providenciales, 22 Feb 2016 – The University of the West Indies was in the Turks and Caicos all week pitching its programmes to prospective students in a first of its kind move, supported by the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks was on an inaugural official visit to the territory for which she has responsibility, along with other British OTs. Not only was the UWI open campus represented, but so were residential campuses of St. Augustine in Trinidad and Cave Hill, Barbados.

Very high powered figures joined Dr. Fleming-Banks to meet our Turks and Caicos candidates including the Deputy Dean from the Faculty of Law, Lecturer from the Faculty of Medicine along with head of recruitment and marketing.

There were significant and strategic meetings held over the days which were spent in both Grand Turk and Providenciales including sessions with the Chamber of Commerce, the Premier and Education Minister, the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College and Interhealth Canada.
