Providenciales, 01 Feb 2016 – School will not resume for the HJ Robinson High until Wednesday and today Education officials are due to go in for a damage assessment following an early morning fire at the institution which devoured the top floor of the Admin block.

Education Minister and Deputy Premier, Hon Akierra Missick refrained from commenting on the alleged arson but during that Friday Post Cabinet Press Conference she did ‘condemn’ the action which led to the fire.

Media was told $7 million has been spent on educational development in Grand Turk alone and that there are no worries for the Eliza Simons Primary, also in GT, it will get its new classroom block.

Kudos went out to the men and women and the fire crew who all worked together to save items from the high school and extinguish the blaze.

The police have jurisdiction over the scene, though they told Magnetic Media Friday that they had not yet classified the fire and said no one is being held for the tragic happening.
