Providenciales, 07 Jan 2016 – The big story for 2016 coming out of Salt Cay is the appointment of a new District Commissioner to start the New Year.

Almaida Wilson returns to Salt Cay but is no stranger to working in government; 30 years in the Civil Service and a retired member of the TCI Police Force, retired from Her Majesty’s Prison and working in the Ports Authority, Elections office and previously as the DC for Salt Cay.

The Deputy Governor shared that, “The area of District Administration being so vital to the management of affairs on the outer islands, I am certain that Mrs. Wilson’s wealth of knowledge and experience and her pride and passion for the island of Salt Cay will ensure that she will do a great job…”

Wilson, a native of Salt Cay shared this in that government issued media statement, “I look forward to working with the board to make changes and to make Salt Cay the best place that it can be. Look out for great things from Salt Cay!”
