Providenciales, 05 Jan 2015 – The Salvation Army saw its expectations superseded and raised double its regular intake this past Christmas in the Turks and Caicos; a sweet $50,000 was donated in the red kettle drive.

Using practical business acumen and a luxury prize as a reward, Stan Hartling who is the Salvation Army’s honorary chairman, raised the stakes and modernized how donations could be made. An online donor site was launched – tciredkettle.com – and Hartling inspired his company to donate a seven night stay at the Palms Resort as a prize for those companies making significant financial contributions.

Stan Hartling explained in a media interview that $30,000 of the total raised came from corporate TCI and now residents can donate anytime as the website will remain live.
