Providenciales, 10 Dec 2015 – Inadmissible evidence, information struck from the court and redactions will have their own specific place on the tailored iPads provided by the Special Investigation and Prosecution Team.
The high profile SIPT trials are trying to get underway in the special court at the former Myrtle Rigby Health Complex and today another issue was brought to the forefront; this time by Jerome Lynch, QC for McAllister Hanchell.
Lynch is concerned that information which is not for the jury to see will still be accessible by Justice Paul Harrison, who is both judge and jury in these cases.
Andrew Mitchell, who is for the Special Prosecutor’s side said there would be a new area on the iPad for that information to be stowed away; it is hoped that will then make the information off limits to Harrison.
