Jazz & Soul concert to raise money for Youth instruments

Providenciales, 10 Nov 2015 – A night of Jazz and Soul is planned for the Palms this coming Wednesday and headlining the event is TCI diva, Crystal Charles. Better known as TESS, Charles is working with the Edward Gartland Youth Centre and will be hosting the event which is aimed at empowering local artists and highlighting the music program at the Youth Center.

TESS explains that she will treat attendees to the soulful sounds of music from James Brown, Aretha Franklyn, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles.

Crystal, who hails from Grand Turk explains that a portion of the proceeds will be used to acquire Junkanoo and Rake and scrape instruments, which will then be incorporated into the brass band program now being spearheaded by Branford Handfield.

Tickets for the Wednesday evening show are $50 and Ms. Charles names her sponsors as: Gilley’s Enterprises, The Wine Cellar, The Palms Turks and Caicos, Spotlight Communication and Outside the Box Marketing.

A night of Jazz and Soul begins at 8pm at the Palms.
