Providenciales, 20 Oct 2015 – The unstable weather over the Southern Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands is producing a lot of rain in areas already saturated from recent Hurricane Joaquin.
The Department of Disaster Management and Emergencies has issued a notice for people to be careful while driving due to localized flooding in flood prone areas.
Residents are also asked to secure outdoor furniture and to elevate electrical appliances and equipment.
Right now the Public Works Department and DDME are conducting flood assessments around the country.
