Providenciales, 18 Sept 2015 – Youth week anti-violence campaign and celebrations begin on Sunday September 20 as the youth of TCI are challenged to ‘Break the Silence and Stop the Violence.’ The Minister of Youth, Akierra Missick, expressed in her House of Assembly address on Monday that, this is the time to bring awareness to the increase in gun violence in the country and encourage the youth to develop a culture of sharing what they know with those in authority. The Minister explained that the anti gun violence campaign is in keeping with the National Youth Policy’s objective which is to give young people an opportunity to engage in community concerns at a national level.
