Tsunami evacuation exercise at Ianthe Pratt Primary

Providenciales, 28 Sept 2015 – The Department of Disaster Management and Emergency recently conducted a Tsunami Evacuation Drill as part of its disaster month activities to increase Tsunami preparedness and promote awareness throughout various communities.

Under the theme, ‘Be Smart…Play your Part’, DEMA along with TCI Fire Department, Police Department and other Emergency Service Agencies worked together to make the Tsunami Evacuation Drill which took place at Ianthe Pratt Primary school an effective lesson for students and teachers.

During the Tsunami Evacuation Drill, DEMA and members of the Police Force controlled traffic and provided necessary safety and security measures for all involved.
