TCI Tourism & Health Officials attend major Medical Tourism Conference

Providenciales, 28 Sept 2015 – The Turks and Caicos is among 50 countries that will showcase as potential health destinations at the 8th World Medical Tourism and Global Health Care Congress being held now in Orlando, Florida.

CEO of TCI Hospital, Daniel Carriere believes with the TCI being a tourism and vacation destination participation in the event gives the country a chance to be classed among and “develop a global network of contacts in the growing healthcare niche and potentially expand its medical tourism platform.”

The three-day event, dubbed as the most comprehensive international healthcare conference and tradeshow in the industry, is expected to see over 2000 attendees.

Dr. Denise Braithwaite-Tennant, Chief of Medical Services of TCI Hospital explained that attending provides an efficient face-to-face experience with healthcare and medical travel industry professionals.

Other countries attending from the Caribbean region are The Bahamas, Cuba.
