Providenciales, 24 Sept 2015 – Students at Oseta Jolly Primary school are thankful to RBC and AND Construction for a refurbishment project which has led to a new feel in the infant playground. Principal, Rachel Handfield explained that a clean-up campaign by RBC at the school was how money was raised to purchase playground equipment for the development of 108 four and five year olds. AND Construction installed the equipment, donating also materials for the job. Both companies and the Education Department, in Sarah Kennedy were on site for the handover this week.
Cabinet determined that soon the Turks and Caicos will be plastic bag and Styrofoam free. A decision made in the meeting held this week and chaired by Governor Peter Beckingham takes the country another step closer to the eradication of plastics and foam; both are considered damaging to the environment.
