Providenciales, 15 Sept 2015 – The nation agonizes over the loss of the author of its national song and pastor of Sure Foundation Ministries, Rev Dr Conrad Howell, as a Grand Turk mother continues to grieve the loss of her own son.
Patty Smith, mother of Kevino Smith continues to use social media to express her grief and horror that her son’s murder remains unsolved and she fears – inactive. Smith, who had recently called in to the now late Rev Howell on radio, to sound off on the fact that she had yet to receive her son’s remains, and believed there was no justice for her family in the case, has charged that the Premier appears to have been more concerned with the death of the late reverend than her son.
Kevino, 25-years old, went missing on March 4, 2015 in Grand Turk after a reported heated confrontation. Smith’s remains were not found until late April in a more aggressive Police search effort, and it was in July that Police finally confirmed that those remains discovered were indeed young Smith. There has since been a personal appeal to the Governor, Premier and a protest by family members in the case of Kevino Smith.
