Providenciales, 16 Sept 2015 – The Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday that cash collections will be discontinued at the Customs Department’s main offices in Grand Turk and Providenciales, effective as of October 13, 2015.
All Cash payments for the Customs Department will now be collected at the Treasury, Front Street in Grand Turk or Town Centre Mall, Downtown, Providenciales.
The mains offices of the Customs Department will however continue to collect by way of Visa and MasterCard denominated Debit/Credit cards, cheques, bank drafts and cashiers cheques.
This new measure is aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing potential security risk to employees and the public.
