DEMA Says Don’t Trash Where You Splash!

Providenciales, 04 Sept 2015 – On Saturday September 19th the Department of Environment and Maritime Affairs is promoting a trash-free seas initiative throughout the TCI.

This is the 2nd year that TCI will be taking part in this International Coastal Clean up. In 2014 a total of 274 bags of trash were collected from beaches nationwide. DEMA Representative, Amy Avenant says “DEMA hopes that this year the event will have increased support, making it one of the most successful cleanup campaigns in the country!

341 4321. For those that are unable to participate in the clean up you can donate supplies such as trash bags, gloves, or even first aid kits as these are all items needed to make the event successful.
