Cabinet ‘ok’ with spending on upgrades and capital works

Providenciales, 24 Sept 2015 – The energy sector and schools will be impacted by a decision to go forward with investments to upgrade. A number of government contracts are to be awarded now thanks to directive from Cabinet and it will mean at least seven projects will be funded and started.

The West Road Fish Market phase two, the repair of facilities at the famous boiling hole in South Caicos, refurbishment work on the Sammy been Building will enter phase two, it is where the new home for Border Control and Immigration will be established; the approval will also mean an upgrade to the restrooms of Mary Robinson Primary School in Salt Cay and the HJ Robinson High School in Grand Turk; see the job started on phase two of the Long Bay High School and then the Procurement Board gets the nod for the start of Legislative and Regulatory Framework for the Energy Sector.
