Providenciales, 16 Sept 2015 – From the Region… The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation met with the joint provisional liquidators for Baha Mar on Wednesday in an effort to keep the lines of communication flowing between the business community and the stalled project.

Baha Mar is right now considered, by most, to be the single largest influence on business conditions in the Bahamas. Chamber CEO, Edison Sumner believes those who invested in the Baha Mar dream have become directly involved in the greater impact on the entire economy in terms of potential revenue, jobs, entrepreneurial opportunities and a new product for a country whose major economic driver is tourism.”

The joint provisional liquidators have a responsibility to preserve and protect the assets and pour through documents to establish a clear picture of the factual status of the project.
