Providenciales, 04 Aug 2015 – The new ambulances are in country today; this from the Premier and Health Minister Rufus Ewing who made the announcement during House of Assembly debate last week.
“That the long awaited ambulances, I think five of them for the islands, will be arriving next week Tuesday (Aug 4); one for Grand Turk, one for South Caicos, one for North and Middle Caicos and two for Providenciales, will be arriving.”
Five ambulances were announced as set to arrive this August after years of delay blamed largely on the cumbersome nature of the relatively new procurement process. The Premier said the garbage trucks for Grand Turk and South Caicos are still en route.
