Providenciales, 06 Jul 2015 – Happening this morning in the Turks and Caicos… lots of Summer Camps open with 2014-2015 Academic School Year officially closed for Summer… Check the Edward Gartland, Red Cross.. the Turks and Caicos National Trust Multi Cultural Youth Camp, there is the TCI Hospitality Adventure variety camps and in Grand Turk and South Caicos the Ministry of Youth’s Camp Hype program is being held. While the children get a break from the books, the Department of Disaster Management and Emergencies gets more intense with a three day training supported by CDEMA. In fact, CDEMA facilitators Ms. Joanne Persad and General Earl Arthurs are in country. It opens this morning. Today, the court docket shows that suspended Permanent Secretary of Finance, Athenee Harvey returns to court for trial related to an incident at the Grand Turk Cruise Center last year, where it is alleged she tried to get out of paying customs duties.
